About
While I've been a Christian my entire life, I never felt like I'd truly found my tribe when it came to church. I was never great a speaking Christianese, or run-on prayers during small groups. I was good at jokes, but that didn't always get me in the good graces of God's people.
As the world got more politicized and segregated, I felt somehow at the center of two sides pulling more and more apart. The opportunity to speak about God and what God had done for me seemed harder and harder. So I did what I always do: I made jokes. And during my Bible reading, I started noticing some Bible verses that would make me laugh. Maybe they'd make others laugh too?
So I posted them on Instagram, or flashed them to a friend during a sermon to try and get a rise out of them. And one day it occurred to me that maybe the one thing people like me need to find a chance to speak about God was... humor?
667 came from the idea that the devil was cast out of heaven from his position near God. And if the devil's number is 666, well the do-gooder next door's address might be 667. We like to say we make subversive shirts for Christians: Bible verses taken out of context to make people laugh and open doors to discussion.
